The RUV concept is based on a modular machine design. Besides the RUV measuring unit, which is the core of every machine, a range of handling modules can be used. With this set of modules several configurations can be designed in order to deal with a variety of loading and unloading options. Loading from belt or stack, unloading to belt, stack or magazine.
RUV is a high throughput solution. A single track solution has a gross throughput of 1.200 or 1.800 measurements per hour. By using multiple tracks the throughput can be increased. Configurations of up to 5.000 measurements per hour have already been designed.
The RUV 4.1 as a measuring unit suitable for equipment integration. The core unit consists of the measuring unit, with ultrasonic transducer and probe, positioning device and conveyor. Other modules are optional. In an equipment interface the RUV electronics box can supply a reject signal or an rejection unit can be added, for sorting the unstable wafers or cells.
